WMLUG's goal is to provide a friendly atmosphere to learn about using Linux and open-source software for the home and enterprise user.
We meet the last Thursday of the month at the New Horizons Computer Learning Center located at 630 Kenmoor Ave SE, Suite 201, Grand Rapids MI 49546. Membership is free. The meeting starts at 6:00 pm and typically runs for 2 hours. In addition to group discussions, a presentation is usually given to demonstrate a utility or a "How-To". Finger food is provided and donations are welcome to help with the cost. An is appreciated to help determine the amount of food to get.

- Ben Rousch recently spent some time poking around cheap, Android and Linux-friendly online music services. He will be comparing Amazon Cloud Player, Google Music, and UbuntuOne Music with regards to features, ease of use, and Linux and Android comparability.
- Patrick TenHoopen will be demoing the RIPLinuX rescue system.
January 2012 Meeting Recap
- Ben Rousch's presentation on music services was rescheduled to the February meeting.
- Patrick TenHoopen demoed xdotool which can be used to simulate keyboard input and mouse activity, move and resize windows, etc.
